I want to give my students opportunities to use their imagination and create something with their hands. As a teacher I have noticed that students are coming into the classroom with less and less imagination and creativity. I have requested STEM bin activities for my class to increase engagement and creativity within my students. These STEM bins will allow students to work in small groups or individually to create using their imagination and communication skills. The new Utah Science Standards focus on cross-cutting concepts and engineering practices that my students will be actively using during STEM bin activities.
