My students learn much more effectively when they are able to be in the classroom, safely using hands-on learning. My anatomy students benefit from being able to physically see representations of the systems we are learning about in class. These models and other classroom supplies will help my students visualize the concepts we are currently learning about! As a first year teacher learning to navigate pandemic learning, I am excited to give my students the opportunity to safely learn in my classroom! COVID-19 has caused huge learning challenges in classrooms, and the most glaring concern is the gap in education that students suffered from a lack of engagement. My aim with this project is to re-engage my students and help them receive the quality education that they deserve. Science is learned most efficiently when it is a hands-on experience, and especially when concepts are able to be more easily visualized using models!
