I am a Distance Learning Facilitator for Vanguard Academy, a charter school based in West Valley City, Utah. Every day, I support a group of 15 dedicated 7th–12th grade students who attend their virtual classes in a shared classroom space located in Emery County. Because our students live far from the school’s main campus, they rely on this local classroom environment to access the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. Each student connects to their live Zoom classes with teachers from West Valley City, and I’m here to ensure they stay on track, feel supported, and are set up for success. Our classroom is a unique blend of virtual and in-person learning—a hub where students can focus, ask questions, and get one-on-one help while still being fully connected to their school community. Thank you for supporting a space where rural students can thrive in a modern learning model!
