I will also be using the books in my classroom to talk about all of our different emotions, which I believe is something these students need after everything that happened with COVID. Since coming back to in person after the pandemic, I have seen an increase in a need of movement for my students I will use these items for small groups, partner work, etc. Research show that students learn better when they are about to move and work with their peers. My materials will help students learn how acknowledge their emotions and they flexible seating will allow them to move and learn while reading, doing math facts, or even a small group with me! The cushion seats and lap tables allow my students to move all around my classroom, not just at their desk.
