To help my students learn and increase their overall well-being amid the pandemic, I could use another flexible seating option in my classroom. Flexible seating has really helped some of my students who have concentration issues be more comfortable during independent and group work. Over the past two years, we have secured two wobble stools and two bounce chairs from Lakeshore, which are great for students who like to move as they work. As I continue to seek new seating options, I see a need for classroom seating options that allow students to stand or perch on a stool while still working at a table. Right now, students use a clipboard to work if they want to stand and have no options if they need to work on a project that requires a flat surface/table. The mobile standing desk and metal stools will provide a flexible seating option for students in my classroom who would rather stand than sit at a traditional desk. This furniture will increase the overall well-being of students by providing them more freedom to be comfortable in the classroom as they learn, work and collaborate with their peers.
