Students with Specific Learning Disabilities in the area of reading struggle with grade-level textbooks and materials. In math, they struggle to read word problems. In science and social studies, they need a partner to read any written material. The C-Pen allows students to independently access all written material. One of my students was able to participate in a novel study, which would not have happened without the use of the C-Pen. He sat with his peers and had the story read to him by the pen and then was able to participate in the discussions with his group.
