This grant will provide each teacher on the 5th grade science team with this technology and every student in fifth grade of the present and future will utilize this technology. This technology will help teachers monitor individual progress of students and give students the ability to communicate and share their scientific findings under the microscope. This will also provide flow to classroom instruction from the teacher and allow the teacher a wide range of flexibility in the class as authentic learning opportunities are created from the technology. Teachers will also be able to actively monitor the students progress and findings as they work, rather than engaging in non-microscope or online microscope simulations. Students will explore human, animal, plant, virus, and many more types of living and non-living organisms and be shocked at what they discover!
