I will be instructing students on electricity on a basic level. We have competitions that students will be able to participate in at the local, District and State level. My goal is for students to have a working knowledge of electricity and all safety codes for the state. I also want them to be able to build and/or replace any electrical outlet in a normal home. With the prices of everything going up these days it is imperative that we are able to do some minor things ourselves. My desire is for students to be able apply their knowledge and be able to replace a light receptacle or install a basic ceiling fan in their home without having to pay electricians $100's of dollars for simple wiring. My other goal is for students to be inspired to continue their education to become a licensed electrician a thus help with the shortage in Electricians we now have. Electricity can harm you if you don't respect it and understand how to work with it.
