Our room is so small and students work at tables which do not allow for storage for their supplies. Having the cubbies will give students the chance to learn to keep their materials in a place where they can get them at a moment's notice when needing a visual for hands-on math activities. Keeping order in a classroom is so important for classroom management. Students won't lose any learning time in looking for their materials. Over time students will learn that organization is important to be ready to learn. Taking ownership with their materials will transfer to them taking ownership for their learning.
