Art is a wonderful tool for students to use to express themselves. This expression can be about things that are going on personally or what they are learning in their classes. Now in this time of pandemic more than ever, it is important that students have an outlet. I have always tried to incorporate art through different projects as I teach. This year however I have set aside time each week to specifically teach art. We have started with the art elements and then we move on to art history. As I have been teaching art there have been many times I have had to go out and buy my own supplies for the students to use OR had to beg and borrow from younger grades. This funding will allow me the opportunity to provide more enriched art lessons for students to use as an outlet. It will also continue to enhance the projects that we have been doing to enhance our math/science lessons.
