Our new state standards include information over plate tectonic motion, fossils, and the rock cycle. Within those standards are opportunities for discussion, and exploration. This project will provide mineral and rock collections for students to look at, and use for identification testing. These kits will complement the rock cycle, and 3 rock types. I will also be purchasing fossil collections. Students will be able to see examples of fossils, and fossilized material. With these collections, students will be able to draw the samples and construct their own rock cycle journey including pictures and student written stories.

About my class
