This project will allow students to step into the world of device design and the "internet-of-things". They will learn how to code microcontrollers to read from sensors, and post their data online as part of a collaborative effort. Real devices connecting to the world through the internet is the wave of the future, and kids with experience in the field will have a foot up. We will use digital design, as well, to plan out the projects before they are built (the touch screen pencils will be a big help with that). With the wide variety of sensors and ways to creatively integrate these devices, students will be able to explore problem solving in their own way and help each other learn.
