These supplies will help students with more hands on learning and to explore new science concepts. Using in in person and actually experiencing it sticks with you longer and helps to make class more enjoyable. The Density Kit will help curve the students misconceptions they have and great a great entry way into science and how Space and the Earth work. We refer back to density a lot through this class and it would be great to start out with a lab to help them learn this concept. The Earth System/Climate kit will help with a unit that can be paper heavy to learn all the information and background knowledge needed. It will give them a chance to explore and break away from the paper projects we do. The big bang evidence kit will be great! I used these in college and it was a great way to explain the Light Spectrum and how to correlate it to Red and Blue shifting of light and at exactly that means. The Earthquake simulator will be a great way for experience and see what scientist do and also interpret the data. Earthquakes can and have affected us more here in Utah than other Natural Disasters.
