These classic and high-interest books will help my reluctant readers develop a love for reading. Not only will my students’ independent reading levels increase, but it will also help build their fluency and comprehension. Reading in book clubs, such as the Fairview Book Jackets, can build an appreciation for literary works and give students an opportunity to discuss the plot, theme, and characters. Providing my students with these books will give them a bigger variety of genres to choose from, and it will add to my classroom library.
