These materials will help my students have better communication skills, help build their vocabulary and improve reading comprehension. All these aspects of receptive and expressive language will help my secondary students thrive in the real world. The games I have chosen are great for speech sessions, they help them learn social skills such as turn-taking, being a team player, making friends, and emotional regulation. I am most excited to build my book collection to support social-emotional development, improve reading comprehension, discover themes, teach life lessons and enhance vocabulary. I hope what I teach them in speech therapy will provide life skills they need to help them now and after graduation.
