My students work at tables in my classroom instead of individual desks. We have three tables that are constantly wobbly. Our maintenance department has repaired them over and over again, but the fixes never quite work. Wobbly tables make huge distractions for students who are trying to focus. My students work on Chromebooks and also do paper/pencil assignments. Both are hard to work with on a wobbly table surrounded by fidgeting middle schoolers. More stability = more focus. Also, I am requesting a moveable cart to put my wireless keyboard and mouse on so I can easily move around the classroom to assist an individual or small group of students while I am teaching a lesson without having to completely stop the lesson while I move.
