Music has such a healing element, especially during this time of a pandemic. Choir students not only have a way to express their emotional well-being, but they get a chance to create and perform together, learning social skills, teamwork, life skills and so much more than just the music itself. Having new choir microphones for performances will help them be amplified so that they can be heard better by their audience. It is a shame to have them work so hard on a performance, and then not be heard over a music accompaniment track, for example. Not only will new choir microphones benefit the performers, but it will benefit all those who attend their performances. Music has a way of bringing people together. It is crucial for celebration, community and healing.

About my class
