Children today have very low fine motor skills. They have zero strength in their fingers this will help strengthen those muscles by building or putting together these manipulatives. Children today are given phones or tablets to play on instead of scissors or even a pencil. I have noticed over the last years how children can’t even hold a pencil. I feel that fun manipulatives like blocks and wikki stix will help strengthen their muscles in their hands and also make them be more creative, having to think to finish a task on their own.
