Since the pandemic, I have noticed a decreased interest in reading among my students. When students were away and at home, they were not exposed to teachers encouraging them to read each day. I hope with these added materials to my classroom, students will be inspired to read for fun again! I hope to use the bookshelves to expand my classroom library and showcase new and exciting books. I then hope to use the classroom rug and bean bag chairs to provide a comfortable and inviting place for my students to enjoy a good book. I hope that with a new and exciting reading area in my classroom, students will be inspired to fall in love with reading once again! I hope that with an increased interest in reading, students will begin to excel in all learning areas!
