When students are exposed to material by using various senses, it helps their brain better retain the information. This is a part of daily our classroom routine. The items have requested are all a part of a multisensory learning process I use in my classroom to help my students learn to read. The pop fidgets, magnetic squares, markers, and pencil boxes will help me create "Spelling Kits" for small group time. The file folders, pencil pouches, and splat sight word game will all be used for fun interactive learning time within the classroom. One favorite activity amongst the first graders is writing in the sand and sand trays. Each item requested has a learning purpose from which each child will benefit.
