While the pandemic created many new challenges and issues for our country, it also greatly affected our students' learning. The learning gaps that have been created, and in some cases magnified, by the COVID-19 pandemic, have left teachers, students, and parents feeling a bit hopeless. The COVID-19 pandemic has its positives and negatives. One of the positives is helping students begin to learn the importance of digital citizenship and taking ownership of their learning. However, one negative factor is also decreased classroom community and interaction. Students were no longer able to physically work in groups and teams to learn the value of teamwork, commitment, and accountability. The resources I have chosen will allow students to learn multiplication and division facts hands-on with games and manipulatives, will introduce students to STEM activities, and allow hands-on learning opportunities for science.
