The materials listed on my donors choose will allow my students to have concrete examples of actual science experiences rather than just reading about it. For example both 5 and 6th grade science standards cover the rock cycle. Within these lessons we discuss type of rock, mineral, and the ways in which we can test these in order to determine the type. I will be able to use inquiry based learning using the materials donated. My students will be able to test the luster, hardness, and streak of these minerals. These materials will make for an engaging lesson that my students will remember for years to come.
