Flexible seating is becoming a more utilized in the classroom setting to make students more comfortable and relaxed in the classroom setting. Students in today's classroom environment find it difficult to stay focused and engaged in learning when they have to sit at a traditional chair and desk all day. With the changes in classroom dynamics, students have shorter attention spans and sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day no longer serves in the best interest of the student. With these donations to my classroom they will be able to learn in an effective way while staying on task, and even learning responsibility with being able to chose and respect their new seating choices. . I would like to implement flexible seating in my classroom to support not only my special needs students but my regular education students as well. Studies have proven that implementing flexible seating has a direct correlation with an increase in classroom engagement and student success.
