I am requesting books which will be used by over 2400 students. The diverse titles, fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels will get more students reading. If we can can get them reading, we can keep them learning for a lifetime...long past our classrooms. Readers are more successful in life. They write and communicate better, have more empathy, are more creative problem solvers, and happier. This book list includes historical and scientific non-fiction, varying reading levels, new authors and others that have produced past gold, additions to series students have requested, picture books for SPED students, and graphic novels (the gateway drug to get kids in a book). Please let these books build up our library so students have more options when selecting their next book. One may be the very book that flips a switch and makes them a lifetime reader.
