Because the dual immersion program is new and still continually changing, creating lesson plans and finding ways to build the program at a secondary level is extremely important to me and to the success of my students. Having access to planning and lesson resources as I develop my curriculum daily helps relieve a lot of stress and allows me to provide engaging material for my students. This is why access to the Teachers Pay Teachers library is of immense help. Exploring new ideas and incorporating different learning styles into my teaching is helping not only my classroom, but dual immersion classrooms in the whole district as I plan and coordinate with other immersion teachers weekly. Immersing my students in cultural experiences is also very important which is why I want to provide more hands on experiences. With the legos they will be able to experience pre columbian civilizations architecture and societies. We use expo markers weekly in class to develop vocabulary and grammar as well as share out ideas about culture ideas and connections. Thank you!
