Music theory doesn't have to be boring! I am a firm believer that kids need to move during the school day to keep their brains alert. As a music teacher, I try to create opportunities for children to move while learning and having fun. I do my best to create an environment where kids can not only learn, but have a brain break from their core classes as well. Yoga balls and rhythm sticks are a great way to bring excitement and variety into keeping the steady beat, practicing rhythm exercises, and moving a child's body in a rhythmic way. By bringing yoga balls into the lesson, children will be excited to participate in learning music theory and learning note values! Plus, we can share these with the PE room as well and expand the benefits of the donations!
