Year after year my scholars create something beautiful and unique as we learn about 3D mediums, such as clay. We have had to use air-dry clay, since we don't have a kiln, and every year my scholars ask me why they are so easy to break. Ceramic pieces, specially made in elementary school, are treasured relics of a scholar's childhood. My scholars deserve a durable ceramic artwork that their parents can treasure for a long time. A ceramic they can look back on as adults and smile at or reminisce with.
