Students and I will use various books to gather culture tidbits with which to create culture capsules, questions, speaking activities, and presentation projects based on the specific topics (French restaurant culture, family & community life, fashion, stereotypes, history, language usage, etc.) The pens, pencils and markers will be used for student and teacher-produced activity and conversation cards and small culture capsule cards (which will be laminated for future use with the lamination pockets) and mini-whiteboard activities. The speaker will be used to play French music by contemporary and past composers, as well as other culture-related sound bits. The terabyte will be used to organize my curriculum, including these culture capsules and activities, since I have had to create A LOT of new ONLINE curriculum in the past year and a half. I will also store other educational language and culture resources, as well as student projects, on it. These culture-based speaking activities, culture capsules, projects, and games will provide much needed social-emotional and communicative interaction, as well as some fun motivation for learning the French language!
