Many students with physical limitations demonstrate a dependence on those around them. Through 3D printing, customized and adaptive tools can increase independence giving students confidence in self and less help from staff/faculty. I have been completing my doctorate on this subject and feel an even greater need for 3D printed objects to help students gain fullest access to academic curriculum and complete ADL's (Activities of Daily Living). Reaching the highest functional capacity of each student is my goal, and it can be achieved in some areas with the versatility of 3D printing. Adaptive tools and customized activities will help not only allow for greater participation but increase classroom engagement as well. I strive to be a fine motor promoter
