In the elementary art classroom, projects are limited by the supplies available. I propose a project where students are able to draw birds, connect with the learning standards in their home classroom, and then learn several printmaking techniques such as block printing, ink reliefs, styrofoam etching, and ink pulling as well as learning about ghost prints. They can experiment with black and white printing as well as color on black paper printing. This project would include matting and framing the prints for a schoolwide art show for parents and peers.
