My students have struggled with online learning. To make it fun, I often use physical materials on the screen. They love seeing something that's not just a computer screen. However, so many of them have been in speech for a long time, so fresh materials is always welcomed! Many of my students have expressed how fun it is to see new toys, books and games in the speech room and teletherapy. It makes things exciting, when speech and language goals can sometimes be boring. I am hoping that bringing these new items into therapy, both in person and online, will lead to students improving faster because they are more engaged.
