Students are very anxious and stressed with the current state of the world the way it is. When they come in to meet with us, it is important for them to have manipulatives to help them get out of their emotional brain and connected to their logical brain. An iPad and Apple pencil will allow kids to write or draw what they are feeling and help them be grounded and connected to their present situation. Then we can talk about issues that are concerning to them while they are in a more calm and rational state.

About my class
