Using this iPad, my students can gain confidence and engage with difficult mathematics (like functions) in any location. Students can work cooperatively to improve their understanding and discuss results of their exploration. Students can participate and use tools to represent and make sense of real data. With this iPad, students suffering from anxiety, heightened by this pandemic, can interact both with content and with peers virtually or anonymously. Utilizing interactive, open-source software, all students have the opportunity to engage with meaningful mathematics in any location at any time. This iPad will also help in the classroom with students that do not have a functioning device for the day.
