The resources I have requested will help students play soccer and badminton, along with other sports. Physical education and sports allow for a release and helps students deal with triggers. We are observing rapidly increasing levels of stress, anxiety, and depression in our high school student population. Students have 8 classes that create a 40 hour work load. For two years, students have dealt with COVID stressors by focusing on Math, Science, and English. We have seen over that time kids that are too exhausted to even play in P.E. Many students request to nap or want to play on their phones to escape the work load. I believe this lowering in fitness participation has directly affected students' overall well being and affects how they retain information in all subjects. We need to foster and support students that are going through large group anxiety and depression. This project makes strides by providing equipment that our school cannot afford currently. Thank you.
