These items are a great calming activity for kids due to the high visual sensory input gained from use of these tables. My students love the DIY light table I quickly put together for my classroom so they would be THRILLED to see an official one fill that space! It is used for hours each day by multiple children during explorations of each subject area. I can incorporate activities in any subject area to help spark student interest in learning at an early age. This exploration area gives them great opportunities to engage in conversation and problem solving with other children, which is a skill they have not strengthened due to the pandemic and being separated from others for so long.
