Motivated learners are the best learners! These resources will help my first grade students develop the fundamental skills necessary to build a strong foundation for learning. All students need the skills of phonological awareness and alphabetic knowledge to read. The Kids Kindles will reinforce these skills through a phonogram app for all students, but especially for the students whose knowledge of these skills was impacted by the pandemic. Students have diverse sensory needs and they learn best through a variety of modalities. The alphabetic poppers, wiggle seats, and books support different learning styles. Students are further motivated to learn when they read or listen to engaging literature. My students are excited about learning when they are able to access fascinating stories from diverse genres in our classroom! The books selected for this project are fun, challenging, and engaging for students of varying abilities.
