We do a lot of writing in our classroom, and good pencils and erasers are critical to keeping students motivated and engaged. We have run out of pencil-top erasers (they love these) and we are almost out of pencils. Our pencil sharpener no longer sharpens and the cutting edge of our tape dispenser has come loose, so we have to hold it down to try to tear off a piece of tape to use. Our stapler is on its last leg, often stapling incompletely, leaving sharp points, or jamming entirely.
