Currently, our Computer room space is in an interior room with no windows. It exits into two other classrooms with no sources of outside light. The space was used as book storage before it was retrofitted to serve as a classroom. I want my students to feel excited about entering the room and excited to try the challenging coursework for Computer Science. The lights will not only brighten the space but give students a different median for experimenting with binary number systems and encryption. I can't wait to see what creative ways the students can use the lights to send coded messages!
