Help my students learn with these needed supplies! Our school like most schools has been impacted by the pandemic. Students are behind and need to practice reading daily. With leveled readers in the classroom, the students would get to choose books on their level that they are interested in. With these leveled readers, I can have students borrow the books to read at their home (checking them out from my classroom library). Students need to be able to navigate the use of the chrome book at their homes due to the needed distance learning that happens due to teacher-coverage issues. So, having working headphones is vital to having a functional computer center in my literacy and math center rotations so they learn more independence on the chrome books. When my students come to my teacher table for small group, I want it to be an inviting and motivating table. Small group instruction is vital to First Graders growth in learning the essential concepts especially since being in-person learning is not taken for granted any more! The colorful stools would help keep small group engaging and allow for flexible seating. With the classroom mailbox, I would spend less classroom time handing out papers and more time with students engaged in learning. Every classroom needs a functional heavy duty pencil sharpener. Our classroom needs a good pencil sharpener and it will get used every single school day!
