Each of my students will meet with me for small group, round table guided reading instruction. Together we will apply what we’ve learned in our whole group phonics lesson by narrowing in on our new sound. We will discuss the sound it makes, it’s spelling, how to code it, and where we might expect to see it in words (beginning, middle, or end). We will train our brains to detect and apply what we’ve learned with the help of our decodable readers so that we can become strong independent readers!

About my class
