In 3rd grade it is sometimes hard to access materials needed to teach basic phonic skills and get access to early literacy materials. I have many students that come from homes where English is not their first language and they may not have had the same opportunities other students may have had. These tools will help me access all my students needs in a fun and engaging way. These tools will help engage my students text books and worksheets could never do. As I study the science of reading we learn students learn best when they can manipulate letters and be hands on with their learning. I want to help my students learn to love to read. When they learn to read, school will become easier and become more enjoyable.
