My students have been struggling in new and unique ways. COVID-19 and it's effects have made group interaction and group work harder than ever. With students isolated at home from peers, texting and social media became the only way to interact. If getting kids to group discuss, or read a book before was hard -- it's near impossible now. With the supplies I have put on my list, my classroom library would be more robust with a new bookshelf and new books to meet their needs. Not only that, but group work would be more fun with the white boards and game-show like buttons for group discussion. I have a feeling that group work will come back in full force along with rewards, a more colorful classroom and a better library for them to access not just hand-me-downs, but books they request and want!
