The materials requested in this grant are materials I can use to integrate multisensory instruction into my reading instruction. I will use sand as a practice medium for spelling words, sand paper as a background for handwriting/spelling worksheets to provide more physical feedback to students as they complete their assignments making worksheets and spelling practice a multisensory experience. Bins are needed to store materials and velcro, lamination, and ink are needed to create games and individual practice materials for students to use. Many of these items are items I would have to pay for out of pocket and have for many years in the past, but I can no longer afford to pay for my classroom supplies. My students, and all students deserve the highest quality education we can give them with a focus on research based methods. I appreciate all support in providing this to my students.
