I teach special education; my students don't usually enjoy reading. I want to create a space separate from their desks so that my students will feel comfortable and enjoy reading. Looking at my students sitting at a desk and reading a book makes me not want to read. If I had a corner where they were able to relax and feel like they were far away from a hard chair and desk, they would be encouraged to want to sit somewhere more comfortable and enjoy a book but, more importantly, enjoy reading.
