We are going to learn about aboriginal art and water lilies in the classroom along with African Masks which is what we will use the paint that was requested! We will use scissors and glue to also do the African Masks. The tissue paper will be used to make help make the water lilies. The markers, rulers, chalk, and copy paper will be used during our everyday art time that is provided to give students the opportunity to express themselves in various ways. We will use the staples and the putty to hang the projects up on the wall. The color wheel will go on the wall to help guide students to understand the different categories of colors and how they complement each other. The wire clay cutter will be used to help make cutting easy as we use different types of sculpting materials, such as play-dough. Giving children the opportunity to do all these different types of art, provides them another way to express themselves on paper and use their imagination! When it turns out to be something they love, their whole countenance changes and no one is judging them! It is something that brings a smile to their face and builds their confidence. It brings them a sense of accomplishment. I am so excited to be able to provide them with materials to help accomplish their goals!
