I have many students who are unable to afford calculators. I have other students who have calculators but forget them, or a friend is borrowing it. It is hard for me to ensure all students have access to a calculator each day in class. I want all of my students to feel that all material is accessible and they are capable of anything. I honestly believe if students know they have the option at school to use the calculator they will feel less pressure and less stress when they come to math class.
