Working at a Title I school as a first-year, newly graduated teacher can be stressful. Especially during the times of Covid-19, none of these kids have experienced a normal school year. A lot of the students are below grade level, and 1/3 of the class are ESOL students. Figit toys are great to use for students who need a safe place in the classroom or cannot sit still. They are also great to use as rewards for positive behavior. The rug will be used for morning meeting in my classroom as I do not have one, and my room theme is space/galaxy. Rainbow pencils are given as rewards for students who struggle with handwriting or a treasure box prize. There are many activities I have planned called "write the room" where students will walk around the room to find QR codes or images to help them with an activity or assignment, the clipboards will be so students can walk around the room and write. The clipboards will also be used for if students need to work on the floor for their comfort.
