We are an experiential education constructivist elementary school. Throughout our hybrid days of covid in 2020, we took students outside for 2-hour blocks, teaching them art, physical education, with science and social studies integration. Watercolor journaling is incredibly portable and a rewarding, expressive art form. Nature Journaling encourages quiet observation, collaborative conversation, and thoughtful illustration. It makes sense to provide materials that are light on our landfills, with replenishable paint cakes as an alternative to replacing whole plastic paint palettes because one or two colors run out before the rest.
