Often our emotions can be overwhelming. Students experience the same thing but are often unsure of what is happening and how to regulate. My project is focused on enhancing the space I have to increase student regulation. I want students to have a space set aside for centering themselves. I plan to model and teach students and their parents how to effectively use the activities and tools in this space now and in their futures. An individuals emotional state determines where they place their attention. In order to help students achieve academically I want to help them better manage their emotions in times of anxiety and stress. My project will help do this by provided resources and furniture to support this environment. Thank you for your consideration.
