My students will be learning the basics of food service in the kitchen. They will prepare and receive their food handlers certificate. They will be learning to use all kitchen equipment to make baked goods, desserts, breads, shredded meats and various dishes from other countries. This should prepare them to work in the food service industry at many levels. In addition they will learn food safety, how to take the temperature of food and the proper way to keep food at a safe temp range and to bring food up to temp when needed.
